                                              Coal takes millions of years of heat and pressure
Over time coal is made from the remains of plants and animals. It takes millions of years of heat and pressure to form. We go way underground mining coal. Some of the coal we use today could be from dinosaurs! It is used to heat homes and power generators.
Advantages

• Coal creates a lot of energy.
• It is one of our primary energy producers.

Disadvantages

• It causes pollution.
• It is a nonrenewable resource.
